Arsenal’s Sokratis Demands for His Team to Step It Up

Arsenal’s Greek center back, Sokratis Papastathopoulos, popularly known as Sokratis has expressed his frustration and disappointment towards his team. The defender ardently warned the team to step their game up and address the need to brush up on their defense, while Unai Emery works on the tactical approach in leading the team.

The 3-1 loss against Chelsea in a match has docked Arsenal down to the fifth place. “We didn’t play good, it was a really bad game from us, the first half, the other team with the counter-attack had three or four chances and they scored three goals. After that, it was very difficult for us to change the game.” Sokratis says.

The 30-year-old Greek footballer believes that Arsenal will have to work thrice as hard to win the next three games, and has faith in his team and his teammate’s capacity to keep pushing forward. “We have to win the next three games. I trust 100 percent my team and the players and I think we can do it.” Sokratis adds.

He also states that waiting on a chance for victory is not the way to go and that Arsenal will have to take their chances and stay determined to play in the Champions League.
