English professional footballer Demarai Gray suffered an injury on his ankle during the match against Wolver Hampton Wanderers. The Carabao Cup win that took place last Wednesday where the 22-year-old was taken away in a stretcher from the horrid fall. Gray’s knee was knocked down bad as he made a sliding tackle at Molineux, leaving Leicester City worried he had broken a bone.
Demarai Gray did not leave his fans wondering and reassured everyone on the internet via social media that he is looking forward to be back to Leicester “in no time.” Although, even with his positive attitude after the injury, his knee scans resulted to determining a 3-6 week absence from training.
Leicester’s manager Claude Puel confirms during his pre-match press conference with a statement: “We will see if he can recover quickly. It is not a serious injury but he needs rest and rehabilitation. He will not be available for us for three weeks, minimum.”
Saturday will be quite a day for Leicester with a Premier League match against New Castle happening.
