Harry Kane Eager to Return to Spurs Training for Champions League Match against Liverpool

The captain of the English national team and Tottenham Spurs’ star player Harry Kane is returning to Mauricio Pochettino’s side for preliminary training for the Champions League match against Liverpool come June 6th. Tottenham’s star forward is anticipated to fly to Madrid with his Tottenham teammates on Wednesday as an effort to prove his fitness and health for the Champions League final.

Harry Kane suffered from an ankle injury from the quarter-final first leg against Manchester City in a Premier League match. Kane went home with a painful injury and a disappointing loss against City with a 0-1 final score. However, Sportsmail reports that Kane could be fit enough to make it to the Liverpool match on Saturday in the Wanda Metropolitano Stadium.

Pochettino wants to maximize his player’s capacity and giving Kane the opportunity to prove his fitness. However, this plausibility will not dictate Pochettino’s final decision to let Kane play and will have to wait until later this week.

“Whether to start him is a point we’re thinking about a lot. It is a decision that one way or the other will be judged after the game. If we win: a fantastic decision. If we lose: s*** decision and you are going to kill me.” Pochettino adds.

Kane’s recovery from the injury has been going smoothly since April and unless any setbacks occur last minute, it seems to be certain there’s a huge chance of him playing on Saturday.
