Harry Kane’s Return from Ankle Injury Sparks Conflict with Scheduling

The notable captain of the Tottenham Hotspurs, Harry Kane is finally ready to go back to playing but way ahead of his scheduled return. The 25-year-old English footballer was injured in a match against Manchester United last January 13 but was still expected to be out until March. The ankle injury turned out to be more serious with ligament damage that kept Kane out for at least two months, which by estimate eleven games over.

Even with Kane’s absence, the Spurs have managed to perform quite well in the Premier League, with victories over Leicester, Newcastle, Watford, and Fulham. Mauricio Pochettino’s team was also able to nab an impeccable 3-0 win against Borussia Dortmund in the first leg of their Champions League last week. In spite of the team’s upbeat execution, there have also been some losses along the way with games against Chelsea and Crystal Palace in the Carabao Cup and the FA Cup respectively.

Games against Chelsea and Arsenal, as well as the return leg against Dortmund, are slowly coming up and it looks like the Spurs will finally have their star kicker back in the mix. Kane has 14 goals and 4 assists in 22 league match this season, along with 4 goals in 6 matches in the Champions League.
