Naby Keita, Liverpool’s prime central midfielder reportedly acquired an injury on his groin area which pulled him out of the semi-final’s first leg against Barcelona. The 24-year-old Guinean player was taken out of the field after Barcelona’s midfielder, Ivan Rakitic challenged him.
The groin injury hailed from a tangling fall that the two fell into, thus sending Jordan Henderson as Keita’s replacement. The midfielder’s injury comes at an unfortunate time for Jurgen Klopp’s team during the season in the pursuit to chase glory in both the Premier League, as well as the Champions League.
