Nottingham’s finest folk Joe Lolley recently won the club’s Player of the Season award. The 26-year-old’s win was well deserved with 11 goals and 11 assists he provided for Nottingham Forest this past season. Lolley expressed his gratitude to his fans on social media and tweeted a hilarious response to Nottingham Forest FC’s official’s account who mentioned his username regarding the announcement.
After thanking his fans on Twitter, he sub-tweeted, “Would also like to sincerely say thank you to absolutely none of my teammates, as this is an individual award, losers.” The team is currently placing 11th in the Championship table ahead of their final match of the season. Martin O’Neill’s team will be hosting Bolton on Sunday despite the wage strikes from March and April.
The 26-year-old forward has been a superb addition to the team since his transfer back in January of last year and has been a topic of interest from coaching staff at Crystal Palace. The game on Sunday will make an interesting gauge on whether Lolley will still be able to keep his spot at Forest in the summer transfer window.
