There is no doubt the football community is behind superior talent in bolstering every club’s standing in the leagues. A crowd favorite is the Brazilian football star, Neymar who plays forward in Paris Saint-Germain. In spite of his renowned talent and notable execution in games, the 26-year-old Brazilian isn’t the only one fostering progress for the leagues.
A young Frenchman by the name Ousmane Dembele has been making his name in the football club Barcelona since leaving Borussia Dortmund in August of 2017. He is one of the youngest pioneering talents that captured many people’s attention, including Paris legend, Robert Pires.
Pires spoke out about Barcelona’s increasing interest in bringing back Neymar into the club, and their move in keeping Pires in his shadow. The 45-year-old former Arsenal player says that Barcelona is better off with Dembele and further honing his potential, rather than luring back Neymar into the club.
“If I had to choose, I would not change Dembele for Neymar. Ousmane is 21, plays with the left and the right [foot] with a lot of quality with the ball. He has a lot of potentials, more than what we’ve seen so far.” Pires shares with Mundo Deportivo.
The Frenchman has portrayed immense talent as he impressively scored in games against Espanyol and Tottenham recently. Dembele does pose superb skill but will have to work on his discipline off the field. The 21-year-old was reported to have been fined £90,000 for coming in late for training.
Barcelona and PSG have upcoming matches in the Champions League this season. However, the two clubs will not go head to head since the two teams topped in their respective groups.
