Last Thursday, October 25 was quite a match for Liverpool who won 4-0 against Red Star Belgrade. Egyptian power player Mo Salah was spotted in attendance and approached fans after the big win, swapping his shirt for a box of chocolates with a fan.
Jurgen Klopp’s team showed promise on the field overshadowing Red Star Belgrade’s trajectory toward the highest rank in the Champions’ League Group C. 26-year-old Mo Salah definitely had his top game displayed, scoring the Reds’ second goal for the night prior to the half-time call.
Daniel Sturridge subbed for Mo Salah after 73 minutes, but the Egyptian footballer approached a female fan in the front row and gave him a jersey. The woman was seen holding up a sign in Arabic which Salah noticed and got some sweet treats from a said fan at the same time.
The sweet treats weren’t just mediocre candy; it was a luxury box of chocolate by Thorntons which costs about £42. The chocolates were reported to be part of the manufacturer’s Corne Port Royal Classic which was part of the assorted collection.
Salah scored 50 goals total for Liverpool in his momentous return that ultimately notched his half-century for the club in just 65 games. “I want to keep scoring and helping the team to win games” Salah adds in a statement.
